What is the Alexandra Park School Association? (APSA)
The Alexandra Park School Association represents all parents/carers in the school and all parents/carers and staff are automatic members of APSA. Our main activity is fundraising for the school. Successful fundraising projects have included:
- School Benches
- School Minibus
- Science Department Refurbishment
- Library Author visits
- Duke of Edinburgh support
- Grand Piano
- 2nd hand uniform sale
We are a registered charity (No. 1093561) and have a constitution, which you can view here.
APSA is run by a small committee of parents/carers drawn from across the school. We always welcome new volunteers, who can join committees or help volunteer to make individual events successful for the school community.
The AGM was held October 2024 and we elected the following members into named positions:
- Chair: Anne Wiseman
- Vice-Chair: Steph Hancock
- Secretary: Oriane Kets de Vries
- Treasurer: Sue De Garis
- Events Coordinators: Amanda May-Jones, Rachel Platt & Lee Lewis
- Preloved uniform Sale Coordinators: Alison Hills
- School representative: Cathryn Heywood
The next AGM will be held October/November 2025. Please look out for emails confirming the date. All parents and carers are welcome to join. The AGM is usually held via zoom to maximise participation.
How you could get involved
We are always looking for help - either in the run-up and preparation for an event or on the day / night itself. Even if you can help with one thing in the year, it would make a difference. You don't have to be available for everything.
