Newsletter Dec 2015

Dear Students, Parents and Carers

For me, the Christmas season is a time to take stock of our lot and be grateful for all that we have.  This can be on a personal level but also in a professional context. It is a pleasure working  in such a successful school: committed staff, supportive   parents and happy students make for a great environment and lead to fantastic results. If I had a wish list for Santa it would be for APS to turn out a first XV rugby team…… and through the hard work of the PE staff and some inspired coaching from Saracens, both our Year 7 and Year 8 boys turned out a squad in the recent Haringey tournament – and won. The icing on my cake!

Alongside this the PE team has led the senior girls to become Haringey Volleyball Champions and APS students took first place in three of the four categories in the borough Cross Country competitions – the fourth student only losing this top position when he stopped to help a fallen runner. We’ve had words with him! Well done to all involved.
