Dear Parents, Carers and Students
Once again it has been a busy and productive academic year. I have enjoyed every day of it. We are all due a well-deserved break. Wednesday evening will be the best night of the year. A time when staff and students alike can sit back and breathe a sigh of relief in the knowledge of work well done and the promise of a few weeks away from school.
My apologies to those with slightly shorter holidays, but I am reminded of Mole in Kenneth Grahame's 'The Wind in the Willows' who, after a busy time cleaning his house, decides to down tools and venture out into the sun.
"It all seemed too good to be true... After all, the best part of a holiday is perhaps not so much to be resting yourself, as to see all the other fellows busy working."
I wish all our families a wonderful summer.
